Our latest product Piano Attack (www.pianoattack.com), using the sounds of 5 dying piano’s, is heard in films like Stealth (Rob Cohen) and The Dark Knight (Christopher Nolan). For a startup, rethinking the retail options of large and small brands in the world, I developed a native mobile (iOS) app (Objective-C) and its web front-end (for Desktop, Mobile) and a hybrid Cordova client and back-end (Cloud, NodeJS, MongoDB, Meteor & ElasticSearch), featuring all modern aspects of such a channel, such as social-media, scanning QR-codes, synchronising, tracking, big-data, realtime, scaling and localisation.

For Hotels.nl (a Dutch hotel booker) I developed Vertex, the database and backend of a vertical hotel comparison system, containing over a million hotels world-wide. It uses MySQL as aggregator database, MongoDB (NoSQL) for publishing (because of speed, scalability, and it’s geospatial features), and Sphinx for full-text retrieval. Vertex is used for de site www.hotel.nl (mind you, no s and the end).
